| Dear Ladies,
Greetings from the SoupMan!
Every once in a rare while an opportunity arises to become part of something so incredibly special, so absolutely meaningful, and so earth shaking as not to be missed.
The SoupMan & his fabulous SoupTeam are looking for a few good ladies - 100 to be exact!
You are cordially invited to become a member of the SoupMobile's Souper 100. Your mission, should you decide to accept it, is to be on 'Fire for Christ'. Jesus said "Feed MY Sheep." Come and join the Souper 100 to support the SoupMobile's mission of 'Feeding & Sheltering' the homeless.
The Souper 100 will meet quarterly at the fabulous downtown Dallas Ritz-Carlton Hotel for tea and crumpets. In addition to socializing with other women who are passionate for serving Christ, you will be challenged to come up with creative, imaginative, and out of the box ways to support the SoupMobile's mission of serving the ones Jesus called the 'least of these.'
If you are looking for a dull, button down, by the books organization---the Souper 100 is NOT for you. However, if you are on fire for Jesus and looking to be part of something that will flat out rock your world, then you've found a home.
Finally, lets talk money for a moment. As Executive Director of the SoupMobile since 2003, I am reminded everyday that 'Good Works Don't Come Free.' No matter how you slice the cake it takes real dollars to run a non-profit charity.
Souper 100 members are asked to pay a $1,000 Annual Membership fee. You can pay in one lump sum of $1,000 or pay $83.34 per month. For some of you this annual fee will not be a problem. For others you may have to stretch to make it happen. Whatever your situation, I want you to know that all Annual Membership fees go directly to our mission of 'Feeding & Sheltering' the homeless. Please give prayerful consideration to becoming a member of the Souper 100.
Let me leave you with one final quote from Mother Teresa:
"At the end of life we will not be judged by how many diplomas we have received, how much money we have made, how many great things we have done. We will be judged by "I was hungry, and you gave me something to eat, I was naked and you clothed me. I was homeless, and you took me in."
Signed, David Timothy, a.k.a. The SoupMan
