Several hundred homeless expected at Dallas hotel

Dallas - As many as 300 homeless people will spend tonight in rooms at a Dallas hotel and get a banquet dinner thanks to the 2007 Christmas Angel Project.

The Hyatt Regency in downtown Dallas is part of the project led by David Timothy, who's dubbed the SoupMan.

His nonprofit mobile soup kitchen is known for feeding the homeless throughout the Dallas area.

Donations for the Christmas Angel Project help provide each homeless visitor with a backpack with new socks, underwear and other basic needs.

The men and women also are getting stockings filled with treats, plus breakfast bags with food items.
