1. Extended Cargo Van The SoupMobile needs another cargo van to help us transport food to homeless men and women in South Dallas. We are particularly in need of an 'Extended' cargo van. A used van in good condition with reasonable miles would be perfectly acceptable.  Estimated cost: $20,000

2. Van Restoration The SoupMobile has a 1985 Ford Econoline 150 Cargo Van with a license plate that reads SOUP 1. This was the original van that the SoupMobile used when we were founded back in 2003. The SoupMan likes to say, "SOUP 1 was the one that brung us to the dance and will always be part of our fleet." The van is now 27 years old and approaching 300,000 miles on the odometer. Needless to say, it's showing some major wear and tear. The SoupMan is praying for a kind donor to come forward and do or sponsor a major restoration of the van. In car talk it's called a 'Frame Off' restoration. Estimated cost:  $ A fair piece of change!

3. Thrift Store The SoupMobile seeks to open a Thrift Store. We need a facility for the store, startup funds and general assistance in making it happen. The SoupMobile is ready, willing and able to bring the full weight of its staff and volunteers to the task. Planned purpose of the Thrift Store is to bring a steady revenue stream into the SoupMobile to support our mission of 'Feeding & Sheltering' the homeless. As an added bonus, we will employ homeless men and women in the store to give them a 'Hand Up' in getting out of homelessness. Estimated Cost: This falls under the category of 'if you have to ask.'
