Every year the SoupMobile hosts its
annual Christmas Angel Project.
Each Christmas the SoupMobile takes
hundreds of homeless men and women off the streets of Dallas
and puts them up at the fabulous downtown Dallas Hyatt
Regency Hotel. It's a Christmas they don't have to spend
outside in the cold sleeping in a cardboard box under a
bridge. It's a Christmas where they get to go to sleep in a
warm safe bed in one of the finest hotels in the world. It's
a Christmas where they get to experience love and caring.
It's truly a magical Christmas they will never forget.
At the Christmas Angel Project they are
treated to new clothes, gifts and delicious food prepared by
the Head Chef at the Hyatt Regency. Each year hundreds of
volunteers give up part of their Christmas to come and
volunteer at the Hyatt to help us run the project. These
volunteers always say the same thing. "It's the best
Christmas gift they ever gave, but it's also the best
Christmas gift they ever received".
When you volunteer and see the smiles on
the faces of our homeless guests, and the tears in their
eyes, your heart will be touched in ways it has never been
touched before.
Our special guest at the 2007 Christmas
Angel Project was Dallas Mayor Tom Leppert. He came to the
Hyatt and attended our special Christmas banquet for our
homeless men and women. Also attending were hundreds of
supporters, donors and volunteers from the local Dallas
community.
Planning is currently underway for our
2008 Christmas Angel Project. The SoupMan invites you to
come and be part of this magical experience this year. Stay
