Christmas is just around the corner and the SoupMobile needs gifts for thousands of homeless people that are right here in the Dallas area. You, your church, your school, your family, your business, or your organization are invited to fill a shoe box (or boxes) with inexpensive items that will make living on the streets a little easier.

The SoupMobile’s goal is to collect 5,000 Christmas Holiday Boxes for the Homeless.

USE AN EMPTY SHOE BOX (Standard size). Please only use boxes that have a separate bottom and lid. Please wrap the lid and the box separately. The box should NOT be wrapped shut when finished.

FILL THE BOX with a variety of small, inexpensive gifts. You can use some of the gift ideas listed at the bottom of the page. Once filled, use a ribbon to wrap around the entire box, thus securing the lid to the box.

PERSONAL NOTE.  Please consider enclosing a Christmas card or note. However do NOT include your last name, address or phone number. Place your card or note INSIDE the box.

DELIVER: Deliver the boxes to the SoupMobile 3017 Commerce St. Dallas, Texas 75226 any weekday (Monday through Friday) between 8:30AM and 11:00AM from now until December 22nd.

Ideas for items to put in the Christmas Holiday Boxes

Small Bible, knit hat, gloves, scarf, tube socks, plastic poncho, chapstick, small flashlight w/batteries, disposable stick razors, small umbrella, $5.00 to $10.00 fast food gift card, small hand sanitizer, pen, pencil, stationary or cards w/stamps, phone calling cards, hard candy or gum, travel size Kleenex, paperback book, transistor radio w/batteries,  toothpaste, toothbrush, hand warmers, granola bars and remember to include lots of love.

DO NOT INCLUDE: used or damaged items, knives, chocolate, perishable food, fruit, liquids, medications, breakable items, glass containers or aerosol cans.
